Quanscient, a Finnish tech leader in multiphysics simulation and quantum algorithms, has secured €5.2 million in growth funding. This round was led by Nordic venture capital firm Crowberry Capital, with Speen Holding joining and follow-on investments from Finnish investors Maki.vc and First Fellow. The funding will drive Quanscient’s mission to bring engineering simulations into the quantum era, revolutionizing the speed and capabilities of simulation technology.

Quanscient has developed the world’s first Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) platform that combines cloud-native multiphysics algorithms with advanced cloud computing and quantum integration. This platform increases simulation capacity by over 100 times, allowing engineers to work fully digitally in complex fields like fusion energy, 6G/7G, advanced semiconductors, biomedical devices, automotive, and aerospace. Engineers can explore more design options, reducing risks and enhancing product performance without the need for costly physical testing.

Traditional CAE platforms struggle to meet the rapid development needs of next-gen tech. Quanscient’s platform, by offering unlimited user access and seamless collaboration, empowers engineers worldwide to iterate faster and solve complex problems at scale. With significantly increased simulation throughput, Quanscient enables smoother team collaboration and accessibility for large, distributed teams, allowing them to solve intricate engineering challenges more efficiently.

Juha Riippi, Quanscient’s CEO and co-founder, emphasizes the competitive edge their technology brings: “To stay competitive, companies developing transformative technologies need better tools to rapidly test scenarios, optimize designs, and speed up time-to-market. Our solution boosts simulation capacity by 100 times, enabling engineers to iterate faster and tackle more complex challenges. This leads to superior products and a quicker, lower-risk path to market.”

Quanscient is also advancing quantum computing applications, being the first to use real quantum hardware for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. With unmatched accuracy and speed, quantum computing opens new horizons in simulation. The company collaborates with industry leaders like AWS, Intel, IBM, NVidia, and quantum hardware innovators such as IQM. This new funding signals a period of international growth, with Quanscient set to release its first quantum product pilot in early 2025, taking a pioneering role in the future of engineering simulations.
