OPENAI HAS ANNOUNCED NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH MAJOR MEDIA

OpenAI and Reddit agreed to use Reddit's data to train AI models. After the announcement of the OpenAI deal, Reddit's stock surged by 11% in extended trading. Reddit has strategically incorporated data licensing agreements into its growth strategy.

Neither company mentioned training data, but mentioned that this partnership will “enable Reddit to bring new AI-powered features to Redditors” and will bring “Reddit content to ChatGPT and new products, helping users discover and engage with Reddit communities”.

Another global partnership is with News Corp (WSJ, The Times, Market Watch, etc.), The Atlantic and The Vox, OpenAI will gain access to their extensive current and archived content.
